One man has been arrested and police are still searching for a second.

365体育官网HOLBROOK — A 31-year-old Brockton man was arrested in Holbrook after police say he and another man forced a woman at knife point to drive them to a gas station they then robbed. The second man is still being sought by police.

365体育官网John Encarnacion was held on $100,000 bail overnight and is expected to be arraigned today in Quincy District Court on charges of kidnapping, unarmed robbery and resisting arrest.

365体育官网Police say Encarnacion and another man got into a woman's car in Brockton, threatened her with a knife and told her to drive to EJ's Gas Station on South Franklin Street in Holbrook at around 3 p.m. Thursday. The gas station clerk told officers that two men entered the store and demanded cash, then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money and got into a red SUV.

The clerk said the car was driven by a woman and was seen entering the nearby Revere Acres neighborhood. Police located the vehicle and tried to pull it over when the SUV abruptly stopped. Two men then jumped out and ran, officers said.

365体育官网Encarnacion was quickly arrested by police but the second suspect ran into a wooded area. Several officers from the Holbrook, Brockton and Abington police departments responded to search the area but could not find the suspect.

365体育官网The man is described as a light-skinned black male with a beard and mustache, in his 30s-to-early-40s. The man spoke Spanish and was wearing black pants and a dark jacket with a gray hood, police said.

365体育官网The woman driving the car remained at the scene and spoke to officers. She suffered minor injuries after being assaulted by the suspect who is at large, she told police, and declined medical treatment.

The case is being investigated by both the Holbrook and Brockton police departments. Anyone with information is asked to call 781-767-1212.
